Jamaica’s bobsleigh dream barrels toward glory

Jamaica's bobsleigh squad claimed their second straight bronze at the North America Cup in Whistler, triumphing in the four-man competition after Shane Pitter and Nimroy Turgott had delivered the nation's finest two-man result on the circuit with a combined 1:48.02 clocking behind Canada and Great Britain.

Pitter steered the four-man sled alongside Andrea Dacres, Junior Harris, and Tyquendo Tracey, storming into first after posting the quickest start time among all entrants. A minor miscue on a curve during their final descent dropped them two spots, though they salvaged another podium finish to cap a remarkable weekend.

The consecutive medals underscore the Caribbean nation's rising prowess in a discipline long monopolized by established winter sports powerhouses. With valuable IBSF points banked and momentum building, the team shifts focus toward World Cup action as Milano-Cortina 2026 approaches.
