Jei-Rynn drops powerful new EP gas mask baby with alt-rock stomp

California musician Jei-Rynn released his new collection of songs called gas mask baby after working hard all year. The EP contains two songs he put out before called maybe and never dying young. He makes alternative rock music with emotional feelings that sound heavy and powerful.

The guitar sounds on maybe show that gas mask baby represents a major step forward for the artist. Every musical note and word fits together perfectly across the entire project. The EP explores many different themes and sounds that range from missing younger days to political messages mixed with strong drum beats.

Jei-Rynn wrote the songs during a difficult time when he felt scared and unsure about himself. He dealt with topics like feeling worthless, fear about life, losing childhood innocence, and political problems. The music came out guitar-heavy with some keyboard sounds added for extra color and texture.

Producer Alex Newport helped record the EP and worked with famous bands like Mars Volta and Bloc Party before. Newport helped control the wild energy of the songs and made them sound honest but easy to listen to. Both musicians love goth, grunge, and 1960s music which influenced how the final songs turned out.

The EP covers emotional ground through nostalgic songs about youth, political poetry, and quiet acoustic ballads. Jei-Rynn hopes the project will push him to new levels in the music world. The release shows the potential this California-based talent has for making exciting alternative rock music.
