A new Korean and Japanese co-production titled Merry Berry Love is in development. The drama will star Ji Chang Wook as a Korean space planner and Imada Mio as a Japanese strawberry farmer, with their story unfolding on a mysterious island.
The project is a collaboration between CJ ENM and Nippon TV. Director Kim Soo Jung, known for Semantic Error, will direct, while writer Lee Jae Yoon of The Divorce Insurance will write the script. A CJ ENM representative stated their goal is to deliver a project that excites a global audience beyond language barriers.
