JKT Queens begin CAF Champions League bid against Gaborone

JKT Queens begin their maiden CAF Women's Champions League campaign on Monday when they face Gaborone United of Botswana at Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia, Egypt. Media and Communications Officer Masau Bwire confirmed the squad arrived safely on Friday with a fully fit roster after careful preparation by technical and medical staff, positioning Tanzania to demonstrate competitive strength at the continental level.

The Tanzanian representatives compete in Group B alongside TP Mazembe from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Asec Mimosas of the Ivory Coast, and their opening opponent from Botswana. Following the initial fixture, JKT Queens will return to action on November 12 against the Ivorian side before concluding group play against TP Mazembe, with advancement to the knockout rounds as the team's stated objective.
