Jonathan Sowah Rejects Tanzania's Naturalization Offer, Aims for Black Stars

Jonathan Sowah faces a tough choice about his football future. The 26-year-old striker has caught the attention of Tanzania after his amazing start with Singida Black Stars. His new club loves what they see from the former Medeama SC player. The striker found the back of the net 13 times during his first 13 matches. Tanzania officials reached out to convince him to represent their national team.

The striker turned down their offer without hesitation. Sowah told the Tanzanian authorities he feels no connection to their country. He wants to make Ghana proud instead of switching sides. The player believes representing the Black Stars remains his biggest dream. His heart belongs to Ghana despite living and playing abroad.

Sowah already tasted international football with Ghana back in 2023. He stepped onto the pitch against Liberia during a friendly match. The striker moved to Tanzania from Libyan team Al Nasr. His goal-scoring record speaks for itself at his current club. Sowah hopes his performances will earn him another call-up from Ghana coaches.
