Kenyan police are looking into what happened to journalist Amos Maina who dropped dead at his usual bar spot in Roysambu. The 32-year-old apparently got sick right after drinking something and his wife Regina Wanjiru showed up to find him basically lifeless in a chair with one shoe off. The autopsy from Kenyatta University hospital pointed to poisoning and found acute hemorrhagic gastritis which is basically your stomach lining getting wrecked and bleeding internally.
His brother Peter said he tried shaking him awake and even dumped water on the guy but nothing worked. This adds to a growing list of Kenyan journalists dying under sketchy circumstances, with CGTN's Nick Mudimba and others going down recently under unclear situations.
