Jubilee says it’s not meddling in ODM drama

Jubilee denies wrecking ODM amid accusations of meddling and split-causing drama. Fred Matiang’i claims the Jubilee Party keeps things peaceful, while respecting multiparty democracy within Kenya. The deputy leader insists his side lacks interest in the conflict. He urges rivals to focus on governance instead of chasing baseless controversies.

Matiang’i wishes all actors well while advancing toward a stronger nation. The group stresses respect for independence among different political formations. They promise zero interference with internal affairs. Any discussions happening inside other squads remain solely their prerogative. The leadership firmly rejects claims linking them to reported ODM fissures.

The team defends party leader Uhuru Kenyatta. They note the retired head of state holds rights to join national discourse. His engagement merely contributes wisdom rather than interference. Matiang’i warns current officeholders against politics driven through animosity or intimidation.

Leaders must prioritize solemn duties over personal beefs. True leadership inspires people instead of dividing them. These comments surfaced after some ODM members accused Kenyatta of trying to split the group previously under Raila Odinga.
