Junior Diteemane departed for Accra's ITTF youth event

Botswana's junior table tennis squad just touched down in Accra, ready to throw hands at the continent's best young paddlers, and the roster is genuinely loaded. The Junior Diteemane crew is repping BTTA at the 2026 ITTF Africa Youth Championships in Ghana, with seven players locked in across individual and team brackets.

Godileone Bagwasi's managing the squad, while Brown Sebokolodi and Kagiso Emmah Lelatisitswe handle coaching duties. And get this, Bagwasi and player Stephaney Batsholeng flew out early to grind through the ITTF Africa Youth Hopes Week, basically a high-level dev camp for the continent's most promising kids. That extra reps time before the main event is a legit competitive edge.

The full roster runs deep. Boitlamo Nkele, Carol Peengo David, Brianna Mogaladi, Reneilwe Lekorwe, Thato Kgongwana, and Gofaone Dzvaka round out the squad alongside Batsholeng. BTTA's been quietly stacking its development pipeline, and this continental trip is basically the proof of concept. Getting exposed to international playstyles before hitting senior level is exactly how you build a program that lasts.
