Dr. Nicholas Kamara went to school with Tumushabe at Kigezi College Butobere and Namilyango College. He recalls his former classmate loved volleyball and always showed respect to others. Eliab Naturinda Mporera, who wants to represent Ndorwa West, said Tumushabe helped many people in Kabale receive land titles. Tumushabe came from a family with strong ties to the church and the Uganda Peoples Congress party. The district chairman, Nelson Nshangabasheija, believes his death creates a huge loss for local government.
Tumushabe will be buried Saturday at his family home in Kibuga Sub County. He previously worked on the Kabale District Contracts Committee before his job with the Land Board.
