Kajol celebrates DDLJ's 30th year at Maratha Mandir

Actress Kajol shared footage on Tuesday showing audiences celebrating at Maratha Mandir theater in Mumbai, where Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge continues its theatrical run three decades after release. The 1995 romance holds the record as India's longest-running film, and screenings have played continuously at the venue since the movie debuted on Oct. 20, 1995. Kajol thanked fans for their support of the production directed by Aditya Chopra.

The film follows characters Raj and Simran, who meet on a European trip, but Simran's father arranges her marriage to another man in Punjab. Kajol posted an image of a Swiss train station displaying a burger advertisement referencing dialogue between her character and Shah Rukh Khan, who portrayed Raj. Khan and Kajol performed songs from the movie at the Filmfare Awards ceremony held recently in Ahmedabad.
