Kalpana Ajayan, Regional Head for South Asia at Women’s World Banking, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision emphasizes not only women’s participation in financial inclusion but also women-led inclusion. Speaking at the Global Fintech Fest 2025, she emphasized that empowering women to lead inclusion efforts is crucial to achieving long-term progress. Ajayan added that financial inclusion requires collaboration among banks, fintech firms, and insurance companies, and noted that forums like GFF facilitate such partnerships.
At the same event, Vikas Bansal, Director of Amazon Pay, said the festival has grown significantly over the years and praised the enthusiasm within India’s fintech sector. He noted that Amazon Pay offers multiple payment methods and recently launched biometric authorization for UPI transactions. Rajdeep Gupta, Founder and CEO of Root Mobile, credited the Digital India initiative for making India a global leader in fintech.
