Kano govt denies backing Nasarawa Palace Emir’s event

The Kano throne war continues as the state government officially disowned a scheduled gathering linked to Aminu Ado Bayero. Director General Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa hopped on Facebook to debunk rumors claiming Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf collaborated with the Nasarawa Palace camp. Those viral claims panicked the loyalists of Muhammadu Sanusi II at Kofar Kudu, who feared their rivals infiltrated the administration.

Bature slammed the reports as total fabrication designed to stir confusion. This ongoing feud keeps the region split between the reinstated monarch, supported locally, and his rival, holding federal backing.

Political observers note that the entire power dynamic might shift if Governor Yusuf actually jumps ship to the All Progressives Congress soon.
