Karnataka to complete Greater Bengaluru polls prep by December 1, affidavit soon

Karnataka officials plan to finalize election arrangements for the Greater Bengaluru Authority by December first. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced these preparations during a Congress party gathering at Bharat Jodo Bhavan. The state will submit court documents to the Supreme Court within four days regarding municipal elections. Officials must complete ward boundary adjustments and voter registration updates before the deadline. Five municipal corporations will participate in the Greater Bengaluru Authority electoral process.

Shivakumar instructed party members to organize their constituencies and voting locations for the upcoming elections. The government launched a comprehensive demographic survey covering backward classes and various communities throughout Karnataka. Rahul Gandhi assigned this census mission to party leadership according to Shivakumar. Survey teams collected ninety-five percent of demographic information across the state except Bengaluru Urban district.
