Karoi police seize drugs on Beitbridge bus

Authorities in Kadoma detained two drivers hauling contraband worth approximately $240,000 after intercepting their passenger coach bound for Beitbridge. Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department discovered 83 kilograms of cannabis packed inside cardboard containers and sacks, along with 80 bottles of cough syrup hidden within plastic bags aboard the vehicle operated by Mandeep Ndomboya Logistics.

Cletos Mutavu and Luckmore Farai, both 43 years old, face charges following their apprehension at the tollgate. Two conductors escaped when police signaled the bus to halt and remain fugitives. Inspector Ian Kohwera, representing law enforcement in Mashonaland West Province, acknowledged civilian assistance in the operation and requested public cooperation in locating the missing suspects.
