Keetmanshoop parents side-eye school safety promises

Keetmanshoop parents face nightmare fuel regarding student safety while demanding educators step up immediately. Rizelda Grobelaar voiced deep fears about sexual abuse risks from staff or peers. She pointed to a disturbing Grootfontein case where a male teacher got arrested for assaulting a young boy. Grobelaar stresses that even first graders remain vulnerable despite local campuses feeling relatively secure compared to other spots.

Shania Strauss insists families deserve maximum effort during learning hours because gear costs a fortune. She argues that instructors must match the financial investment with serious classroom dedication. Strauss emphasized that students cannot sit idle while staff gets organized. She wants actual lessons starting immediately since teachers supposedly prepped early to avoid wasting time.

Elizabeth Tjongarero highlighted the brutal struggle to secure hostel accommodation near Naute Dam Date Project. Schools treat boarding spots as privileges rather than rights which forces families into expensive rentals. Tjongarero noted that repeating students get rejected first. This pushes struggling households to pay extra rent and electricity bills just to keep kids educated.

Education Minister Sanet Steenkamp pushed for restoring discipline and moral values without spending extra cash. She believes improving grades relies on collective responsibility from everyone involved. Steenkamp claims empathy and authority fix more problems than funding does. Inspector Ryan Assegaai confirmed principals organized schedules early to prevent wasted time but admitted boarding space stays tight.
