Oil Company Helps School Build Safety Fence.
A big oil company called EACOP wanted to help make a school safer in Uganda. They gave Busanga Primary School a special fence that goes all around the schoolyard. The school has 635 children who learn there, and it sits near where the oil company works.
Mr. John Bosco from the oil company came to give the school the fence. He said the new fence makes the school safer because bad people cannot come inside anymore. The children can play outside without anyone worrying about them. He wants every child to learn well in a safe place.
The oil company built this fence because it cares about helping schools near its workplaces. It followed special rules that say companies should make sure they help keep people safe when they work near homes and schools.
Mrs. Josephine Kiiza runs the school, and she is very happy about the new fence. She said it has changed everything for the school. The children can play and learn better because they feel safe inside their schoolyard.
Many people worked together to build the fence. The oil company worked with people who lived nearby and people who helped run the area. EACOP wants to keep helping more schools because it thinks education makes Uganda better. It plans to do more things that help children learn safely.
