Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal rejected any alliance with Congress for the 2027 Goa Assembly elections on Saturday. The former Delhi chief minister stated that Congress has betrayed Goa residents repeatedly, and claimed the party functions as a supplier of legislators to the Bharatiya Janata Party. He cited that 13 Congress legislators joined the BJP between 2017 and 2019, while 10 more switched in 2022.
Kejriwal announced plans to dismantle what he described as a corrupt political system controlled by families affiliated with both the BJP and Congress. He promised that an AAP government would allow citizens to determine project priorities and resource allocation in the state. The party leader accused a select group of political families of controlling state resources and alternating party affiliations to maintain power while transferring wealth to foreign bank accounts.
