Kenya upgrades JOOTRH Kisumu hospital to top-tier status

Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital received a Level C5 parastatal designation during ceremonies held on September 15, 2025. The Principal Secretary for Medical Services emphasized the immediate implementation of the enhanced status. Tax-based government support will cease for national referral hospitals within five years.
