Kenya has a group called the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority, or EPRA. Their job is to check the gas that people buy for their cars. They want to make sure it's good gas.
From October to December 2024, EPRA checked gas at 1,295 places in Kenya. Most of the gas was good, but at 11 places, it was bad. It had stuff in it that shouldn't be there.
In one city called Nairobi, the police found some gas cans. The gas in the cans was supposed to go to another country. But someone put it in a truck in Kenya instead. That's not allowed. EPRA is looking into it.
Two gas stations got in trouble. One is in a place called Kilifi. The other is in Mombasa. They were selling bad gas. They had to fix the gas and pay money because they broke the rules. Then they could open again.
EPRA wants people to tell them if they think a gas station is selling bad gas. People can call EPRA or send them a message. EPRA's website has a list of bad gas stations.
EPRA's job is important. They help make sure people get good gas for their cars. They don't want anyone selling gas that could hurt cars or be bad for the country.
