Kenya's Economy Stabilizes, Ruto Promises Growth

President William Ruto says Kenya's economy is stable now. He wants to focus on important projects to help the country grow.

Many plans were on hold for two years because of money problems. But Ruto promises that people will see progress this year.

"We can build more roads, buildings, and other things now that our economy is doing better," he said.

Kenya has made gains in many areas, such as the economy, safety, farming, health care, schools, and electricity, despite the challenges it faced.

"Kenya has a bright future. We will make this country better for everyone," Ruto added.

He spoke at a prayer event in Elgeyo-Marakwet County. Several leaders from the government were there with him.

Ruto talked about when he became president two years ago. At that time, Kenya didn't have enough food. Prices were high, and people were upset.

But he said careful planning and cheaper fertilizer helped farmers grow more crops, lowering the cost of living.

Ruto said the government has worked hard to keep Kenya safe. It will continue these efforts until every part of the country is secure.

The Kerio Valley experienced a lot of violence. Ruto wants to bring back health clinics, schools, and other services that were lost. He wants all schools to reopen within three months so kids can learn again.

The governors of the area say peace is helping the economy there. They believe the different groups that live in Kerio Valley must get along for things to keep getting better.

Other leaders agree that Kenya is making progress. They think the government's plans will improve the lives of Kenyans.

The Interior Minister praised the police and others for keeping the peace and said the government would continue to ensure the safety of every Kenyan.

The Energy Minister said the president's team is working hard to reach Kenya's goals. They won't let negative people distract them from doing good things for the country.
