KEWOPA demands action over Kuria's vile remarks

Moses Kuria went nuclear on X and enraged every woman parliamentarian in Kenya. The Kenya Women Parliamentary Association demanded that legal bodies prosecute him for attacking Jayne Kihara online. This group pushed the Director of Public Prosecutions and the National Cohesion and Integration Commission to act immediately against the politician. They claimed his posts used sexualized language while inciting hostility.

The caucus argued that weaponizing private grief or health speculation violates human dignity. They noted that these comments traumatize families while reinforcing stigma against widows in leadership. These legislators pointed out breaches of constitutional privacy rights and laws against exposing medical status without consent.

KEWOPA insisted that Kuria must apologize publicly to Kihara alongside all affected women. They want investigators to launch a probe into the comments immediately. The online rant from January 3 involved wild claims about Kihara’s late husband and alleged violence against Muthoni Marubu, using explicit language.
