Khawaja praises AI system that saved Pakistan Rs 5 billion in crops

Federal IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja examined the Land Information and Management System facility with the Special Investment Facilitation Council Director General. Major General Muhammad Ayub Ahsan welcomed the delegation while Dr. Colonel Waqar presented the platform's achievements. The system serves more than two million farmers across Pakistan. Agricultural pest monitoring prevented whitefly damage during 2023 and protected five billion rupees of national economic value. LIMS represents a transformative agricultural technology initiative.

The Agri Stack digital platform demonstration featured comprehensive farming solutions and land management tools. Pak Sar Zameen Card technology enables farmers to obtain land records and government subsidies through digital access. Officials discussed international marketing strategies for Pakistani agricultural exports and youth employment opportunities in agricultural technology sectors. Smartphone integration will provide farmers with immediate land data and advisory services. A steering committee will guide LIMS operational expansion under Armed Forces and SIFC leadership.
