Kinaata’s pen stays sharp, privacy stays tighter

Martin King Arthur, famously known as Kofi Kinaata, grew up in the Effiakuma neighborhood of Takoradi before becoming a major star in the music scene. He originally sharpened his skills on a program called Kasahare Level on Adom FM, where he competed in intense rap battles. After gaining attention with the track Obi Ne Ba, he joined the High Grade Family under the guidance of Samini to develop his unique style. The musician eventually moved on to create his own label called Team Move Music to maintain his creative freedom. Huge hits like Susuka and Confession helped turn him into a respected figure whose lyrics are even studied at universities.

The artist is recognized for winning the songwriting trophy at the national music awards five different times. He recently released his first major collection of songs titled Kofi OO Kofi, which features tracks like Saman and Auntie Ama. Every December, he hosts the Made in Taadi concert in his hometown, drawing tens of thousands of people for a massive cultural celebration. Beyond his own success, the rapper works to help younger talents such as Aya Ramzy B and Abochi get their start. Despite his fame, he keeps his personal life and family details completely away from the public eye. He continues to focus on blending highlife and rap to tell stories that resonate across the entire country.
