Kindiki champions grassroots Saccos and roads at Molo rally despite criticism

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki addressed critics during Saturday's economic empowerment gathering in Molo. The official emphasized that grassroots funding programs support local groups and savings cooperatives across communities. Kindiki argued that sustainable economic growth begins with strengthening the foundation rather than focusing on upper levels. He stated that infrastructure development must accompany direct financial assistance to maximize benefits for ordinary citizens. The administration plans to continue these bottom-up economic strategies alongside major development projects.

Government officials will begin construction on the Rironi-Mau Summit dual carriageway within weeks. This highway expansion connects Nairobi with western regions through Nakuru County and promises significant economic benefits. Fertilizer subsidies have reduced costs from 7,000 shillings to 2,500 shillings per bag over three years. Molo Constituency receives two modern markets in Molo and Elburgon towns, plus 257 million shillings for electricity infrastructure expansion. These combined initiatives demonstrate the government's commitment to comprehensive rural development.
