Kindiki slams vengeful politics, backs Leo for Mbeere North

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has warned Mbeere North constituents against supporting opposition candidates who previously served in senior government roles but failed to deliver meaningful development. While rallying for United Democratic Alliance hopeful Leonard Wamuthende, Kindiki criticized former officials who allegedly prioritized sabotage over service before losing their positions and shifting allegiances.

The deputy president portrayed the by-election as a choice between continued infrastructure progress under Kenya Kwanza or alignment with adversaries seeking political retribution. He praised Wamuthende for maintaining respectful campaign conduct and articulating concrete plans to advance stalled initiatives within the constituency.

The parliamentary vacancy emerged after Geoffrey Kariuki Kiringa Ruku resigned his legislative position to accept appointment as Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes. Polling stations will open as voters select new representation for the constituency.
