Kofi Kinaata Scoops Palace Award Ahead of Music Awards

King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II gave Kofi Kinaata the Youth Award on Friday at Manhyia Palace. The singer writes songs about the life problems people face every day. His music speaks for regular citizens who need a voice. Last September, the king praised his song Susuka during a lawyer meeting as very wise.

Kinaata stands for six prizes at the music awards happening tomorrow. He might win best highlife artist, best song, best video, best writer, best record, or best album. The Millennium Awards honor people who help make Ghana better. The king likes to notice those who care for poor people, women who have lost husbands or children without parents. Other winners at the event were Dr Kwame Despite, Dr Ernest Sarpong, Dr Nick Danso from Ghana Link Network. President Mahama came as the main guest to watch the ceremony.
