Koskei warns public officers to attend impunity training or face consequences

Public servants who missed mandatory virtual training sessions on accountability last month face a second opportunity to participate this week, with warnings that further absences will trigger consequences. The Head of Public Service, Felix Koskei, has authorized extended sessions running through the end of this week, requiring officers to register for sessions covering the Matrix of Lawful Consequences for Infractions in the Public Service.

Principal Administrative Secretary Arthur Osiya directed supervisors to ensure complete staff participation while emphasizing that attendance records will be maintained by Koskei's office. The government has positioned these sessions as essential for strengthening discipline and operational effectiveness across civil service departments.

Separately, Koskei began meetings in London with British counterparts to advance governance reforms and bilateral partnerships. The delegation held discussions with Cabinet Secretary Chris Wormald and plans additional engagements with several government agencies to accelerate Kenya's institutional improvement initiatives.
