Krystle D’Souza lands ‘Shararat,’ calls it destiny’s win

The actress, stepping into a song, said it was just destiny. Krystle D'Souza addressed taking over the Shararat number in the movie Dhurandhar from Tamannaah Bhatia, calling the whole thing fate. She told an outlet she had no behind-the-scenes info but praised Tamannaah as amazing and beautiful. Krystle, who performed the track with Ayesha Khan, believes the opportunity was simply meant for them. The song features vocals from Jasmine Sandlas and Madhubanti Bagchi.

Choreographer Vijay Ganguly had previously mentioned initially thinking of Tamannaah for the part, but director Aditya Dhar did not approve. Ganguly later clarified on social media that the Baahubali star was never actually in contention. He explained her star power might have overshadowed a crucial story moment, and they chose two performers to maintain narrative tension. He expressed frustration that his words were twisted toward sensational headlines about rejection, stressing that filmmaking is a collaborative effort needing respect. He wished the focus stayed on the creative work itself.
