The chairperson explained they will send their recommendation to party Secretary General Obert Mpofu, showing Harare Province wants Tagwirei included.
Andy Mhlanga, who serves as Deputy Secretary for Economic Affairs, believes successful businesspeople should help lead the party. He pointed out that Tagwirei has supported ZANU PF for years. Mhlanga mentioned this creates a chance for Tagwirei to work directly inside the party, helping push economic growth programs forward.
Other party groups liked this choice because it fit with ZANU PF's plans to transform the economy. The party wants to create an upper-middle-income society by 2030.
