Kumasi Charity Spoils New Moms with Mother's Day Treat

EKK Charity Foundation gave gift baskets to moms who had babies on Sunday at the Kumasi hospitals. Evans Kofi Kwafo started this group in 2020 to assist struggling communities with education, healthcare, and earning chances. This marked their first Mother's Day program aimed at women delivering babies during the holiday. Workers visited five hospitals with bags of soap, diapers, and washing powder. These supplies brought happiness to mothers in maternity wards across Greater Kumasi.

The CEO explained they want to celebrate mothers and reduce deaths after childbirth. He talked about better care for both moms and newborns through checkups, breastfeeding help, cleanliness, and good food. Kwafo urged people to look for danger signs and seek medical help fast. He stressed that mothers need rest and assistance after giving birth. Community support matters greatly during this time.

Kwafo also spoke against leaving babies at hospitals due to money troubles. He thanked Julius Debrah, former Chief of Staff, for the cash that made these donations possible. The money came through Appiah Stadium with a promise of future support. Everyone must work together on these challenges.
