Kuria gets new water roads and easier commutes

Raymond Omollo, the Interior Principal Secretary, checked up on government projects in Kuria East, Migori County, this past Saturday. He looked at how the Kegonga water project at Nyamache was coming along. This project aims to bring clean water to people living nearby.

Roads make up a big part of what Omollo saw during his visit. He noted good progress on the Taranganya-Senta-Ntimaru-Nyamtiro OSBP-Kegonga-Kugitimo-Loliondo B1 Road. This road will help locals travel more easily and boost business in the area. Workers have also started paving the road at Kebarishia, which should make travel much better for everyone.

Omollo officially handed over the finished Kebaroti Water Supply Project at Kebaroti Secondary School. The Lake Basin Development Authority helped build this water system. Several important leaders joined Omollo, including Governor Ochilo Ayacko, Senator Eddy Oketch, and MPs Peter Masara and Kitayama Maisori.

The Principal Secretary said these water projects show how committed the national government is to building better roads, making water available to more people, and helping Kuria grow. The LBDA Managing Director, Wycliffe Ochiaga, also attended the inspection tour with other regional officials.
