The former Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has strongly opposed any suggestion to amend the constitutional clause limiting presidents to two terms. He noted issues like administrative chaos and under-resourced teams during government handovers. To address these, he recommended establishing a dedicated transition trust fund and strengthening the role of the Administrator-General to ensure a more professional and seamless transfer of power.
