Leonardo DiCaprio to receive Desert Palm Award

Leonardo DiCaprio will receive the Desert Palm Achievement Award for Actor at the Palm Springs Film Festival for his performance in Paul Thomas Anderson's "One Battle After Another." Festival Chairman Nachhattar Singh Chandi praised the actor's intense portrayal of a character facing overwhelming challenges while highlighting his career-long dedication to bringing emotional complexity and artistic commitment to his work.

The ceremony at the Palm Springs Convention Center will also honor Michael B. Jordan with the Icon Award and Adam Sandler with the Chairman's Award. Past recipients of the Desert Palm Achievement Award include multiple performers who subsequently claimed Best Actor honors at the Academy Awards during the same season, among them Daniel Day-Lewis, Matthew McConaughey, Cillian Murphy, and Gary Oldman.
