LG drops AI-powered 5K gaming displays at CES 2026

CES is about to get some new monster gaming monitors with built-in AI. LG just announced its UltraGear evo brand, headlined by three high-end displays featuring proprietary upscaling tech to boost visuals without taxing your GPU. The lineup includes a thirty-nine-inch 5K2K OLED, a twenty-seven-inch 5K Mini LED, and a massive fifty-two-inch 5K2K curved screen, all set to debut at the show.

The OLED model uses a new panel type for better brightness and hits a 165Hz refresh rate, with a mode that drops resolution to push 330Hz for competitive play. The Mini LED version claims to solve common blooming issues with thousands of local dimming zones. The giant fifty-two-inch display runs at a blistering 240Hz. Each monitor incorporates AI for scene optimization and audio enhancement alongside the core 5K upscaling. LG will likely reveal pricing when the event kicks off in Las Vegas.
