Limpopo Test Tickets Leave Fans Broke

Zimbabwe Cricket sets ticket prices for the upcoming Test matches against South Africa at Queens Sports Club. Fans pay $2 daily or $7 for complete match access to general seating areas. Grandstand seats cost $5 per day or $15 for the entire game. Officials refer to the series as the Battle of the Limpopo, a conflict between neighboring countries. The cricket board expects strong attendance for these important international fixtures.

The first Test runs from June 28 through July 2 at the Bulawayo venue. South Africa returns for the second Test from July 6 through July 10. Teams have not played Test cricket against each other for eight years. Their previous meeting took place in 2017 and lasted only two days. Both nations look forward to resuming this traditional cricket rivalry.

Zimbabwe faces South Africa, having never defeated them during Test format competition. The Proteas won eight matches from nine total encounters between the countries. Teams drew once at Queens Sports Club in 2001. Zimbabwe hopes home conditions will help them achieve their first Test victory against South Africa. The Chevrons want to change their historical record during these summer matches.
