Sonicware released their new LIVEN Evoke music device after their popular LIVEN Ambient Ø synth sold well. The company calls the device a music box that brings back old memories through ambient sounds. Engineers built the Evoke around a special Acoustronic Flux Oscillator engine. This engine mixes real acoustic sounds with electronic sounds to create new music. Musicians can use 34 different acoustic instruments and 20 electronic waveforms and noise types.
The acoustic sounds cover many instruments like pianos, violins, flutes, guitars, and drums. Electronic options feature saw waves, sine waves, triangle waves, and various noise patterns. Musicians can layer these sounds together to build complex musical pieces. The device works with both traditional and modern sound creation methods. Artists can blend classical instruments with futuristic electronic textures.
The LIVEN Evoke has a four-track music sequencer that saves up to 128 different patterns. Each pattern can hold 64 musical steps for complex compositions. Musicians can program notes one step at a time or record them live as they play. The device captures knob movements through Parameter Lock functions. Random settings add surprise elements to musical performances.
The device features Grain FX processing that cuts audio into small pieces and rebuilds them. This creates unique sounds through grain timing and space positioning. Ten built-in reverb effects simulate different room acoustics. The compact design matches other LIVEN series instruments. Sonicware sells the LIVEN Evoke for £229 with taxes.
