Lord Rami Ranger praises PM Modi's leadership ahead of India-UK Free Trade Agreement signing

Lord Rami Ranger praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership during his upcoming United Kingdom visit. The British Indian businessman described the potential Free Trade Agreement signing as a major advancement for both nations. Ranger emphasized that Britain and India would benefit equally from this economic partnership.

Modi arrived for a two-day visit at Prime Minister Keir Starmer's invitation. The Indian leader will conduct meetings with Starmer and King Charles III during his fourth UK trip since taking office. Officials expect the FTA to double bilateral trade volumes to $120 billion by 2030.

The agreement grants zero-duty benefits to 99 percent of Indian exports entering British markets. London-based businessman Ramesh Arora expressed excitement about Modi's arrival and the historic trade deal. The relationship between both countries achieved Comprehensive Strategic Partnership status in 2021, expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.
