Losing is not an issue for Black Queens, says Sannie Daara

Ibrahim Sannie Daara urged fans to keep faith in the Black Queens after their rocky start at the Women's Africa Cup of Nations. The former Ghana Football Association Communications Director insisted supporters should rally behind the national team despite their disappointing performance. South Africa handed Ghana a crushing 2-0 defeat during Monday's Group C opener at the continental tournament. The reigning champions proved their class against the struggling Ghanaian side who failed to find the back of the net. Daara refused to panic about the result and maintained his belief in the squad's abilities.

The veteran football administrator expects Ghana to redeem themselves when they face Mali later today. Daara expressed confidence that the Black Queens possess enough quality to secure victory against their West African rivals. He described the team as still developing and suggested the South Africa loss should not cause alarm among supporters. The crucial encounter between Ghana and Mali kicks off at Stade Municipal de Berkane at 16:00 GMT. Daara made his comments during an interview with Asempa FM radio station.

Ghana desperately needs points from the Mali clash to keep their tournament hopes alive. The Black Queens face mounting pressure to deliver after their poor opening display against the defending champions. Daara believes the team can bounce back and show their true potential when they take the field against Mali. The former GFA official called for patience as the squad continues working toward improvement. Ghana's campaign hangs in the balance heading into their second group stage fixture.
