Lotus Kamal's Untouched Empire - Bank Accounts Frozen, But Properties Remain Safe

Lotus Kamal pulled off the perfect escape just days before Sheikh Hasina lost power. The crafty politician cleaned out nearly 800 crore taka from his family bank accounts before running away on August 1st. His timing was incredible because he left the country with empty accounts just when everything fell apart. The Anti-Corruption Commission tried to freeze his money but found almost nothing left. Kamal had already moved his cash somewhere safe.

His real estate empire sits completely untouched across Dhaka and Cumilla. The man owns 37 different properties that authorities refuse to grab. His wife Kashmeri controls fancy apartments in Gulshan and Badda that keep making rental money. Their daughter Nafisa also has millions tied up in buildings and land. Not one single property has been seized despite massive corruption charges.

The family built illegal towers with extra floors that broke every construction rule. Kamal used his political connections to make these violations disappear through bribes and influence. His Gulshan tower has six floors that were never approved by city planners. Fire safety officials complained but nothing stopped the illegal construction. The building stands tall as proof of his untouchable status.

Investigators believe Kashmeri actually controls over 5000 crore taka hidden around the world. The ACC filed cases claiming much smaller amounts that experts call ridiculous. Lotus Kamal appears to enjoy special protection that other corrupt officials never received. Nobody can explain such generous treatment for Bangladesh's most notorious financial criminal.
