LPG price drops again with Tk26 cut for November

Bangladesh reduced cooking gas costs for November as regulators lowered the retail rate for a 12-kilogram cylinder of liquefied petroleum gas by 26 taka, bringing the new total to 1,215 taka. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission revealed the adjusted pricing on Sunday and said the changes would begin that evening. Motorists using autogas will pay 55.58 taka per liter rather than the previous 56.77 taka.

October saw a 29-taka decrease for 12-kilogram cylinders and a 1.38-taka drop for vehicle fuel. Commission records show LPG underwent seven increases and four reductions during 2024, with rates holding steady one time. Prices climbed in January, February, March, July, August, September and October, while April, May, June and November brought relief to consumers. December rates remained static.
