LPM Says Time to Pay Up for Colonial Crimes

The Landless People's Movement asked for justice and repairs to fix past wrongs during Africa Day celebrations. Joyce Muzengua leads the party's human rights team and spoke about colonial harm across the continent. Her speech connected with the African Union's 2025 theme about making things right for African people. The party wants governments to take action against the historical damage done to African communities. Muzengua believes justice must come for people who suffered under foreign rule.

She reminded listeners about the Namibian genocide that killed thousands of people during colonial times. These terrible events show everyone needs to demand justice and fair treatment for victims. African people fought back against foreign control for many centuries using their cultures and shared strength. They worked together to take back their land and prove their identity mattered. This fighting spirit created pride and desire for self-rule across African nations.

Muzengua honored the brave fighters who died for African freedom and independence. These heroes gave their lives to create the foundation for modern African countries. Their memory continues to inspire people working toward justice and unity across the continent. The party asked all Africans to respect their ancestors by building fair and equal societies. Every person of African background deserves recognition and proper treatment for past wrongs.
