Lunin Real Madrid Exit Rumor Heats Up

Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin wants to leave Real Madrid this summer. Spanish newspaper AS reported his desire to find a new team. The 26-year-old player signed a contract extension through 2030 just months ago. He received more money from Real Madrid when he renewed his deal last September. Lunin feels unsure about his role at the famous Spanish club.

Thibaut Courtois remains the top goalkeeper choice for Real Madrid games. The Belgian player blocks Lunin from starting matches on a regular basis. New coach Xabi Alonso will replace Carlo Ancelotti but that change does not help Lunin. The Ukrainian keeper wants more playing time than his current situation provides. Real Madrid officials will not prevent him from joining another team for the right price.

Turkish club Galatasaray has contacted Lunin about a possible transfer move. The goalkeeper expects more offers to arrive after he plays for Real Madrid at the Club World Cup tournament. The 32-year-old Courtois might miss some games and give Lunin chances to play. Lunin earned his contract extension but still searches for a guaranteed starting position.
