Madani splashes record cash aid on all Malaysians

The Malaysian PM, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, says his administration is boosting cash aid to record highs this year. The finance minister stated the Madani government is enhancing social protection, focusing on families and faster disaster response. He claimed this push shows a commitment to supporting all households.

Specific programs include a thirteen billion ringgit allocation for Rahmah cash aid and basic necessity assistance. They also issued a single one-hundred ringgit payment for every adult citizen with a MyKad, available for claiming during a recent several-month window. For flood victims, a separate one-thousand ringgit aid per family was distributed, with ten million set aside for Sabah and fifty million for the states of Kelantan and Terengganu.
