Mahama Picks Goski Alabi to Shake Up UMaT

President John Dramani Mahama picked Professor Goski Alabi to lead the University Council at the University of Mines and Technology. Alabi brings many years of teaching and business experience to the new job. The university sits at Tarkwa and serves students from across Ghana. Mahama believes Alabi can help improve the school's management and academic programs. Leaders expect her appointment to strengthen the university's reputation.

Professor Alabi teaches Quality Management and Leadership at her current position. She helps shape education policy for the government through various committees. Mahama asked her to join the Ghana Education Forum organizing team. The professor earned multiple degrees from universities across different countries. Her education covers chemistry, food science, and business administration.

Alabi studied at the University of Cape Coast for her first degree and teaching diploma. She completed advanced studies at the University of Ghana and Swiss Management Centre. Central University of Nicaragua awarded her a doctorate degree. The professor works as a consultant and entrepreneur beyond her teaching duties. Many people view her selection as a positive step for the mining university.
