Mahama Promises Major Nursing College Upgrades Nationwide

President John Dramani Mahama talked about education plans during his Ahafo Region visit Saturday. He wants nursing and midwifery schools to give out degrees like universities do. The National Democratic Congress leader said health worker training needs better programs. Students at these schools will learn more advanced skills for patient care. His party plans to keep sending buses to high schools and medical training centers.

Mahama promised a new university for the Ahafo Region. The school will teach farming, natural resources, and health science classes. Areas without enough colleges need more education options for young people. Students from rural communities often travel far for higher learning. The NDC wants every region to have quality university programs close to home.

Education and healthcare remain top goals for the opposition party. Better schools mean stronger communities across Ghana. The former president believes upgraded colleges will help the country grow. More degree programs give students better job opportunities after graduation. His administration plans to make learning easier for all Ghanaians.
