A housemaid is facing theft charges after allegedly stealing fourteen thousand dollars' worth of items from her employer's Borrowdale home. Fifty-eight-year-old Alice Padzinza appeared in Harare Magistrates' Court for the incident dating back five months.
The complainant, Radoslav Mlandenov, reported the theft after returning from an international business trip. He stated he had left his bedroom locked, with the keys entrusted to Padzinza, and instructed her not to enter. Upon his return, he discovered missing items including a pair of Louis Vuitton shoes, a wine stand, and a luxury wristwatch.
Police noted no signs of forced entry at the scene. The prosecution argues Padzinza had sole access to the bedroom during that period. None of the allegedly stolen property has been recovered.
