Make Money from Your Land with Title Deeds

According to Zimbabwe Lands Commission member Rosemary Choruma Dowa, land represents the foundation of Zimbabwe's industrial growth because it supplies materials that power manufacturing. She spoke at a rural development meeting in Bulawayo and urged citizens to use the new title deed reforms for building land-based businesses. The government controls all land but grants usage rights through various agreements. Land reform aimed to involve native citizens in economic activities.

Dowa explained that land is essential for economic progress. She pointed out that machines become useless without raw materials to process. She called for serious attention to land issues as business opportunities. She suggested creating specialized areas where specific farm goods feed directly into factories. The country imports most raw materials despite having the capacity to make them locally.

She pushed people to secure their property through the reformed title deed system for business development. Land expert Mandivamba Rukuni agreed with these ideas. He stated that rural industry development helps countries escape middle-income limitations affecting African nations. He stressed the importance of improving rural areas through industry. The connection between farming and manufacturing remains weak across the continent.
