Mane nets 51st, Senegal stay top after DR Congo stalemate

Senegal's star forward rescued a draw to keep his team on top of the group. Sadio Mane netted his fifty-first international goal to pull Senegal level at one-one with the Democratic Republic of Congo in their Africa Cup of Nations match, answering Cedric Bakambu's earlier score. Both sides now hold four points in Group D, with Senegal leading on goal difference after their opening three-nil win over Botswana.

In the other group game, Benin finally got their first-ever tournament victory, beating Botswana one-nil with a deflected shot from Yohan Roche. The results position Senegal and DR Congo comfortably for advancement heading into the final round of group matches on Tuesday.
