Marist Brothers Nyanga wins fourth consecutive Old Mutual High Schools Quiz title

Heritage Village hosted the Old Mutual High Schools Quiz Finals where Zimbabwe's top academic performers competed for prestigious awards. Marist Brothers Nyanga claimed victory for the fourth consecutive year, earning seven thousand dollars. St Anthony's High School finished second with five thousand dollars while Pamushana High School received three thousand dollars for third place. Fletcher High School earned one thousand dollars for fourth position. Winners also received technology prizes such as laptops and smartphones.

The competition began with 326 schools participating at zonal levels before advancing through provincial rounds. Old Mutual Group CEO Samuel Matsekete emphasized the quiz's evolution since 1983 into a respected academic platform. Minister Paul Mavima highlighted how participants develop critical thinking skills and performance capabilities under pressure. The event featured a comprehensive two-day program with financial literacy training and wellness sessions. Students toured Liberation City as part of their educational experience beyond traditional classroom learning.
