Mass arrests as scam empire crumbles in cross-border raids

Myanmar authorities demolished another eleven structures at the KK Park complex near Myawady as military and administrative forces continue dismantling facilities tied to international fraud syndicates, bringing the total to 228 razed buildings across the notorious cybercrime hub. Simultaneous raids at the Shwe Kokko compound netted 101 additional foreign suspects from China, Vietnam, Ethiopia, India, Pakistan and Chinese Taipei, pushing total arrests beyond 1,800 individuals caught operating scam operations after entering the country through Thailand and other border crossings.

Security teams have confiscated more than 3,000 computers, 21,000 mobile devices and numerous Starlink satellite receivers from the illegal gambling centers, systematically destroying equipment while processing detainees for deportation. The government has already expelled nearly 10,000 foreign nationals through coordinated repatriation efforts with Thai authorities, while approximately 2,700 more await transfer from holding facilities at Lonhtin compound in Pulwepu Village.
